Zoe Vandermeer is a coloratura soprano, Welsh triple harpist, and composer.  Her program ‘The Harp in Softly Pleasing Strains’, presents songs, arias, and harp solos by Mozart, Handel, Sophie Corri, Edward Jones, and others, and music by Zoe Vandermeer. 

Zoe Vandermeer is a prize-winning graduate of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and she is currently engaged in a PhD music in research degree (online) at the University of Birmingham UK.  She is on the Roster of the CT Commission on Culture and Tourism since 2011, and has been a recipient of numerous grants and awards.  In 2024, she was a Quarter-Finalist in the World Harp Competition, and in 2023, she won Second Place in the London Classical Competition, Vocal Division.  In 2014, she won First Place in the B. Alexander International Vocal Competition held in Carnegie Hall.  Ms. Vandermeer has given soprano and harp performances at the Rio International Harp Festival Brazil, Connecticut Early Music Festival, Bloomington Early Music Festival, American Swedish Historical Museum Philadelphia, Pollok House National Trust Museum Scotland, American Harp Society, Somerset Harp Festival, and elsewhere.
