Adriel Gonzalez was born in Madrid, Spain, in 2010. He began playing the harpsichord at the age of 7 in San Lorenzo de El Escorial with Jordan Fumado, and is currently studying with Violeta Blanco. He has also been simultaneously studying piano with Ofelia Montalvan since 2022.

He attended numerous courses: the Gijon Early Music Festival (2020) with Ines Montaña, received Masterclasses in Madrid from Diego Ares (2022-2025), Ignacio Prego and Frédérick Haas (2023), in the Netherlands with Siebe Henstra (2023-2024), Richard Egarr (2025), the II and III International Early Music Course in Leon (2024-2025), the Course on Historical Temperaments with Isaac Pulet, and received a scholarship for the I and II Course on Basso Continuo with Suzana Mendes (2025).

He was selected for the Talent Development Project of the Netherlands Bach Society "Klavierbüchlein für Wilhelm Friedemann Bach." He recorded the Preludes BWV 926: Prelude in D minor, BWV 927: Prelude in F major, and BWV 932: Prelude in E minor in Utrecht, released in July 2025 for All of Bach. He has also been selected for the Young Talents program of the Académie Musicale de Villecroze to take masterclasses with Pierre Hantaï along with a practical research seminar with a scholarship from the Royaumont Foundation in November 2025.

He was a Finalist in the Juventudes Musicales National Contest in Spain, 113th Early Music Competition, being the youngest musician in history to participate in this event (participants must be under 30 years of age). He won first prize in the “International Mozart Competition Vienna” in 2025 and the “Medici International Music Competition” in 2024. In July 2025, he premiered the work “Pequeña Nana” for harpsichord by Spanish composer Jose Zarate in El Escorial. 

Adriel is currently studying at the Fray Antonio Soler Conservatory in San Lorenzo de El Escorial. Padre Soler who was admitted to the Monastery of San Lorenzo del Escorial for his talent as a composer and organist.

He finished the school year (2024 and 2025) with Honours in Harpsichord, having also achieved this in the previous year.
