Biography
Claudia Liliana Gantívar holds a Master’s in Recorder Performance from the Geneva Conservatory and a Master’s in Arts Management from UNIR. With over 30 years of experience in teaching and performing across Europe, the U.S., and South America, she has recorded with Ensemble Elyma, Musica Ficta, and her own ensemble Esfera Armoniosa., (http://www.esferaarmoniosa.com/), which she founded in 2006.
She lived in California for a decade, where she taught at the Community School of Music and Arts, led recorder workshops with ARS, and performed both as a soloist and with ensembles such as the American Bach Soloists, California Bach Society, and Farallon Recorder Quartet.
Now based in Florida, she develops artistic and educational projects that promote Early Music in both Colombia and the United States. A dedicated advocate for historical performance and cultural collaboration, Claudia is a member of Early Music America and America Recorder Society.
