Amethyst Baroque Ensemble is led by co-Directors Dr. Alexandra Snyder Dunbar (harpsichord) and Jody Miller (recorder). Gambist Marcy Jean Brenner and countertenor Adrin Akins complete the core ensemble. Amethyst was formed in 2018 and has collaborated with Dan McCarthy (viola), Erik Schmalz (trombone), Gregory Hamilton (theorbo), and others.
