Constantinople is partnering with the seminal Corsican polyphonic singing group A Filetta to create a sonic tableau where light & shadow meet, through songs from the Corsican musical tradition. Polyphony by the vocalists of A Filetta, as well as songs & music orchestrated by Kiya Tabassian, will come together in a moving concert.
This year, EMV’s Festive Cantatas features some of the most popular Christmas music of Germany in the 18th century by Johann Kuhanu and J.S. Bach. For this performance of Cantatas IV & V from the Christmas Oratorio, five Canadian soloists join the musicians of the Pacific Baroque Orchestra, under the direction of Alexander Weimann.
The EMA Member Concerts & Events Calendar is for time-sensitive events, such as in-person concerts, livestreaming performances or video premieres, and live online events such as webinars. Videos available on-demand (temporarily or permanently) should not be submitted as multi-day events. Please submit Early Music News & Press Releases about these or other activities.
Highlights from this calendar are included in the weekly E-Notes email newsletter (Tuesdays). Selections are made based on variety of event types and geographic regions.
EMA does not share non-EMA events on our social media platforms.
