Violinists Sarah Bleile Douglass and Shelby Yamin recently released their debut album “Violin Duets op. 5 by Maddalena Sirmen Lombardini” on the Orpheus Classical label. These intimate, often-playful duets were first published in 1775 but have gone unrecorded until now. It is our hope that this album helps draw attention to the music of one of the most successful female performer-composers of the baroque era.
