Teaching Bach and the Baroque: A Deep Dive in Performance Practice

Join Elevate Vocal Arts and Dr. Amanda Quist of Western Michican University for a free webinar on Thursday, June 12 at 7:00 pm ET. Register for free at https://zoom.us/meeting/register/-uZXmGx5RNKYMq4aod4aSQ#/registration

Many choir directors have experience with the repertoire of the Baroque period, especially that of J.S. Bach, but unpacking the performance practice of the Baroque can feel intimidating and even prohibitive. This session will explore ways to make appropriate performance practice choices for any ensemble and musical context. Join us on a deep dive through these practices and techniques, and learn how to implement them in your ensemble!

While all are welcome to attend, this session will be pitched at an intermediate to advanced level. It is recommended that attendees have at least some experience with Baroque repertoire and performance practice.

Please note that registration is limited and spots will be reserved on a first come first serve basis. The recording from this webinar will NOT be made public following the session.
