Voices of Music offers new Virtual Adult Class Series

Although Voices of Music is continuing to postpone our in-person events and concerts due to the pandemic, we are excited to connect with audiences in a new way by offering our Virtual Adult Class Series this Fall. In 5 interactive, hour-long classes participants will engage directly with an expert musician in their field and gain new insights and skills. Learn a Baroque dance in your living room with Carlos Fittante, join Peter Maund in creating percussion on everyday household objects and exploring the relationship between melody and rhythm, discover compositions throughout history of a chanson with Rotem Gilbert, and learn the historical context of a tune in order to create new variations with Voices of Music director Hanneke van Proosdij. These sessions provide historical context for deeper understanding of the material, practical hands-on experience, and a fun opportunity for our musical community to gather and play together.

Classes are open to a variety of experience levels and instruments and will be held on Wednesdays from 11am-12pm, plus a 15 minute Q&A with the instructor, from November 18 through December 16, 2020. Participants can sign up for single classes ($25 each) or partake in the full series for a 15% discount. Please see our ticketing website for more details and to purchase tickets (https://app.arts-people.com/index.php?class=vom), or call the box office (415-260-4687).
