Benjamin Alard will perform four of J.S. Bach’s Italian-style Concertos that draw on orchestral works largely by Antonio Vivaldi. Bach’s wondrous transcriptions of these works for solo harpsichord are richly textured and deeply compelling. Played by this exceptional artist with his radiant virtuosity and lyrical grace, this will will be a truly uplifting and memorable concert.
The concert will be held downtown D.C. in the lovely concert space at Live! at 10th and G, 945 G St. N.W., DC 20001. Just a few steps from a Metro Center exit or, if driving, with under-venue parking for a flat rate $15 charge with entry after 5:00pm and exit before 11:00 pm.
