The Scholars of St. Cecilia, Mountainside Baroque’s resident chamber choir, has rung in the Christmas season since 2013 with the classic, FESTIVAL OF LESSONS AND CAROLS. This service features readings, hymns, traditional carols, and organ music in the candlelight of Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Cumberland. Mountainside Baroque planned to put on its eighth iteration of the festival this year, but pandemic concerns forced it to reconsider.
Instead, the early music collective will honor this popular tradition by reprising its 2018 event in video form.
