Piffaro proffers YouTube concert on May 15

Piffaro is joining the ranks of ensembles offering free online performances with a one-hour “rebroadcast” of its March 2019 performance of material from Michael Praetorius’ Terpsichore with Sonnambula, which was performed in Philadelphia, Wilmington, DE and at the Met Cloisters.

Dancers’ Delight was easily the audience’s favorite program of Piffaro’s 2018/2019 season. A representative example of patron feedback:

We were delighted by the collaboration between Piffaro and Sonnambula. The concert was well-paced and included delightful interplay between the two groups along with beautiful solo performances. While there was no actual dancing in the aisles, my wife and I saw several members of the audience literally dancing in their seats, a testament to the joy present in the music.

Piffaro’s artistic directors Joan Kimball & Bob Wiemken, along with Sonnambula’s Elizabeth Weinfield and Jude Ziliak, will be on hand for a live chat on Friday. The concert will remain available for viewing through Sunday, May 17 (the weekend that Piffaro would have premiered Kile Smith’ new piece for its 35th anniversary).
