Bach Week Festival: Sergei Babayan in Recital

Sergei Babayan, celebrated Armenian American pianist praised by The New York Times for his “consummate technique and insight,” will open the 50th anniversary Bach Week Festival — its farewell season — with an inventive, wide-ranging new recital program. He’ll open with four J. S. Bach Preludes and Fugues and conclude with the Aria from Bach’s Goldberg Variations. In between, you’ll hear works by Schubert/Liszt, Schumann, Rachmaninoff, Kreisler, Fauré, Mompou, Bizet, Poulenc, Gershwin, and others.
