Early Music Missouri presents “At Court & Coffee House—J. S. Bach’s Brandenburg Concerti 4 & 5 and Coffee Cantata”

April 7 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm CDT

$20

Early Music Missouri brings its 2023 – 2024 season to a close with three of Johann Sebastian Bach’s best-known secular pieces: the virtuosic Brandenburg Concerti 4 and 5 and the charming Coffee Cantata, a comic musical story of an overbearing father and his over-caffeinated daughter. EMMo regulars Arianna Aerie (soprano), Jeffrey Ballard (tenor) and Kevin Warner (bass) will sing the cantata, and the EMMo Chamber Orchestra will be led by violin soloist Daniel Lee for all three pieces. Other featured soloists for the Brandenburgs include harpsichordist Charles Metz and recorder soloists Anne Timberlake and Rachel Siegal. Leighann Daihl Ragusa (traverso) will be a featured soloist in the cantata as well as in Brandenburg 5.

Early Music Missouri presents all of its Mainstage Concert at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in St. Louis, a beautiful venue with an acoustic ideally suited to such intimate music. Parking is free and the venue has reserved parking and ramps for listeners needing special access accommodations. Early Music Missouri’s 2023-2024 season is supported by generous donations from our supporters as well as a Program Support Grant from the St. Louis Regional Arts Commission.

Admission is $20 at the door with discounts for students.
